Following Swan Lake, this time Yvette Bozsik has created a dance performance for children at the request of Ballet Pécs. The classic storyof Sleeping Beauty is brought to life through incredibly colourful visuals and funny characters in this performance by Ballet Pécs, which is a wonderful family production. This is great, high quality entertainment for adults and children alike. In the story of the Sleeping Beauty ballet, the princess pricks her finger because of the curse of an evil fairy, falls into a hundred-year slumber together with the whole royal court. Many try to approach the castle overgrown with thick vegetation, all in vain. Only one prince manages to get through, who wakes Sleeping Beauty from her hundred-year sleep with his kiss. The dance artists of Ballet Pécs present their wonderful talents and the magic of humour embedded in dance, accompanied by Tchaikovsky’s beautiful music, Yvette Bozsik’s excellent choreography, Balázs Cziegler’s spectacular set, and Krisztina Berzsenyi’s gorgeous costumes.
The production was createdin the co-production of Pécsi Balett Nonprofit Kft and Pécsi Nemzeti Színház Nonprofit Kft with the support of the National Cultural Fund of Hungary.
