This production is a contemporary dance theatre performance whose basic aim is to dramatise music with a specific tone, unique stylistic features and deep cultural roots, and to visually represent and stage it through the means of dance theatre.
Parade is in fact a contemporary ballet piece created through a collaboration between the Boban Markovic Orkestar and the Székesfehérvár Ballet Theatre. The music of the piece is based on the orchestra's album ‘Mrak’.
Parade uses the language of dance theatre to express a distinctive feeling, an ambience. The dance composition is dramaturgically structured to convey different moods, genre scenes and situations based on the music of the album ‘Mrak’.
Based on Boban Markovic's unique, highly dynamic, vivid and dramatic musical world, director-choreographer Attila Egerházi has created ‘genre art’ that presents a world and a special mood through a series of sarcastic and humour-laced scenes.
