Nativity, carolling, St. Lucy’s procession – many mysterious folk customs, the superstitions of the winter season, the mysticism of witchcraft, the world of the spinning house... As a continuation of the Dancing Spring, the performance titled Winter Dance expands the folklore calendar of the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble for a whole year – in response to how our ethnographic treasure can be introduced to young people in an entertaining and spectacular way. And the winter holiday season, from harvest to carnival, is definitely suitable for pointing out that there was love, plenty of fun and much more also before technological development.
